StrikeBet Withholding Taxes

All betting companies in Kenya, including StrikeBet, are obligated to send the revenue authority’s 20% of a player’s profits. Since the Finance Bill 2020 was enacted into law, this has been the case.

A player who wins 50,000/= will only receive 40,000/= in their StrikeBet account; the remaining 10,000/= will be withheld as withholding tax.

   Withholding tax is 20% of 837.18= Ksh 167.436
